The AL- Sahrana (vigilant) Prayer

Open the door of compassion to us, O blessed mother of God, for we rely on you and are not disappointed. Through you we are protected from all misfortune, because you are the help of Christians. ‘alyka itakalna. Fala taskhat ‘alayna. Wa-la tadhkur athamana. Lakin khallissna min a’daiyna. Li-annaka anta huwa iylahuna. Wa-nahhnu sha’baka. Wa-kafatana Ssin’at yadayka wa-bismika nud’a.

Ya dhat kullil tasbeehh, ayatuhaa ummul mubaraka, al-latee waladatil kalimal ilahiyya, al-ladhee bi-qadasatihee yafuqu kullil qideeseen. Iqbalil aan hadhihil Sahrana, wa naj-jey kafatil mu’mineen minal massaib, wan-qadhee minal ‘iqubal mufzi’a al ssarikheena ilyakee:

Ya babal rahhma, ya kanza kullee ni’ma, ya man la tarud sa-ileeha wa la tukheeb qassideeha, ya say-yidatinal ‘adhra’, innana natawas-sal iyla qudsikee wa ssalahikee, ann tu’iynee ddu’fana, ishfee marddana, sid-dee ‘awzana, qaddisee nifusana, naqee ddamairana, ttah-hiree hharakatana,fikee asrana, qawimee subulana, thabitee aqdamana, aufee diyunana, imhee awzarana, shid-dee azrana, qaweh haqaratana, isnidee shiyukhana, I’ddidee shababana, rabeh attfalana, ihhfaddil hhaddireen wa rid-dee bilsalamal gha’iybeen, ta’attaee ‘alal dhaleeleen, istamid-dil ghufran lily khatti-een, shafa’atiykee wa-ttaharatiykil samiy-ya tastur al-rijal wal nisa-al ‘afeefeen, irhhamil mafqudeen, amwatanal raqideen, rid-dee ‘an-na juril ddalimeen, wa-dfa’ee ‘an-na sharral ashraril ‘aneedeen, wa khallissina minal aqwam ghaiyril rahhumeen, wa-ssunee bai’atikee wa awladiha ajma’een, wa-hhrisee sha’bakil maseehee al-ladhee huwa ‘alaiykee ut-takil wa bikee musta’een, kifee abssaril ddalimeen, ‘an kul man qad-dama ilaiykee hadhihil sahrana, wahwa waqif amama aiyqunatikil muqad-dasal shareefal samiya, iqbalee ya ‘adhraa ya hhanuna, talabatihim wa ssalawatihim fee kully hheen, wa sur marahhimikee yahhmeehim, Wa sit-rikil aqdass yasturhum, ly-yakunu minal manssureen, wa khallisseehim min sharril a’daa-il manddureen wa hgaiyril manddureen, wa-hhresseena nahhnul dhaleeleeyn, kahana wa shamamisa, ma’a jamhooril hhaddireen, al sarikheena ilaiykee qa’iyleen:

Ttubaakee maryamil bikir, ttubaakee bil fame wal fikir Nahhnu bis-mikee naftakhir kul zaman wa dahir.
