Consecration to Mary

O Mary, Virgin most powerful and Mother of mercy, Queen of Heaven and Refuge of sinners, we consecrate ourselves to thine Immaculate Heart.

We consecrate to You our very being and our whole life; all that we have, all that we love, all that we are.

To You we give our bodies, our hearts and our souls; to You we give our homes, our families, our country.

We pledge ourselves to profess courageously and at all times the truths of our holy Faith, and to live as befits Catholics who are duly submissive to all the directions of the Pope and the Bishops in communion with him.

We pledge ourselves to keep the commandments of God and His Church, in particular to keep holy the Lord's Day.

We promise You, O glorious Mother of God and loving Mother of men, to devote ourselves whole-heartedly to the service of thy blessed cult, in order to hasten and assure, through the sovereignty of thine Immaculate Heart, the coming of the kingdom of the Sacred Heart of thine adorable Son, in our own hearts and in those of all men, in our country and in all the world, as in heaven, So on earth. Amen.

Daily Prayer to Guardian Angel

Angel of God My guardian dear

To Whom His love Commits me here

Ever this day Be at my side

To light and guard To rule and guide. Amen.

Prayers to One's Patron Saint

O heavenly Patron, whose name I have the honor to bear, pray earnestly at all times to God for me; confirm me in the faith; strengthen me in virtue, defend me in the battle of life; so that, conquering the enemy of my soul, I may deserve to be rewarded with everlasting glory. Amen.

Evening Prayer

Psalm 141

1. I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me; hear me when I call to you.

2. May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice.

3. Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.

4. Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies.

5. Let a righteous man strike me-that is a kindness; let him rebuke me-that is oil on my head. My head will not refuse it, for my prayer will still be against the deeds of evildoers.

6. Their rulers will be thrown down from the cliffs, and the wicked will learn that my words were well spoken.

7. They will say, “As one plows and breaks up the earth, so our bones have been scattered at the mouth of the grave.”

8. But my eyes are fixed on you, Sovereign Lord; in you I take refuge-do not give me over to death.

9. Keep me safe from the traps set by evildoers, from the snares they have laid for me.

10. Let the wicked fall into their own nets, while I pass by in safety.

Closing Prayer before Sleep

Bless, O Lord, the repose I am about to take, that with renewed strength I may be able to serve you faithfully.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, I give you my heart and my soul.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, assist me in my last agony.

Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, may I breathe forth my soul in peace with you. Rising under the protection of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, and armed with the sign of the holy cross: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Christians United in Heart and Voice

Dear Heavenly Father, I pray that You will help every member of the Church to live in harmony with each other. May we be united in love and enable us to pray with the mind of Christ, to be guided by the Spirit of God and to glorify You with heart and voice. Keep us from worldly ways, but rather may our lives be a witness of Your love, not only in what we say but in all that we do, I ask this with the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord. Amen.

A Bond of Unity in the Body of Christ

Dear Jesus, You are our Prince of Peace and You prayed for unity in the body of Christ - that we may be united in love just as You are united with the Father - in love.

Give Your children the desire to love one another, as You have loved us - for by this will all men know that we are Your disciples.

Give us a hunger to live in union with each another, and may we be united as one, in the bond of peace and fellowship, in the Spirit. This we ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.
