This is a five stars resort development on a 12 hectares cliff-top site that directly facing to Indian Ocean at Uluwatu Bali. I have assigned for this project as Architect’s team member who worked on conceptual layout planning for typical villas under the direction of Paul Tavuzzi, the President Commissioner who is on-board as Design Principal in this project.
My first duty was to carefully study the Hotel Operator’s planning and design manual, and identify all required facilities and amenities prior various villa layout schemes are initially generated. I worked closely with Project Architect and Design architects who assigned as dedicated team for this project. As part of my tasks was attending site survey and visiting several five star Hotels at Bali for design comparison purposes. During design process I was attending weekly design coordination meeting involving both Owner internal team and other Consultants. I was liaising with both Owner and Technical Advisor from the Hotel Operator to get initial approvals for each conceptual layout schemes have proposed for various type of Villa Unit. Once the initial approvals are confirmed, necessary technical coordination with another Consultant is proceeded accordingly, particularly involving the MEP Engineers.
