At Los Angeles’ famed Troubadour nightclub 40-some years ago, James Taylor urged Carole King to emerge as an artist from behind her piano— a seminal moment in the history of these pop singer-songwriter icons.

To commemorate that important collaboration, Taylor and King reunited for this concert special.

Writers contest deadline is March 25 Get your imaginations in gear, because Prairie Public is hosting the PBS Kids Writers Contest to promote reading and writing skills through hands-on, active learning. Children in grades K-3 can submit their own original stories.

Regional Coverage The Prairie Public news team will report from the North Dakota Democratic Convention (March 31-April 2) and Republican nominating Convention (April 1-3), and we’ll broadcast live a planned Republican gubernatorial debate from the Belle Mehus Auditorium in Bismarck on March 9.

New Beats NPR News will continue to provide the in-depth coverage and analysis that you expect on the issues, the debates, and the campaigns. There will also be a new regular fact-checking feature called “Break It Down” headed by Scott Horsley and Danielle Kurtzleben.
