SALE SIMPLICITY & TRANSPARENCY – HOW IT WORKS Bull/reference pictures and full data are detailed in this catalogue. Bull videos will be posted on the Underhill SPECS Facebook page and can be emailed to you direct upon request.

Prior to the sale, the bulls will be publically priced, but no bulls will be sold until the sale window of 2PM - 6PM on March 6th. The bulls will be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.

No bulls will sell under or over the list price. Pay the list price and you own the bull with no run off bidding. After 2PM on the 6th you can come in person, or call/text to evaluate your bull purchase options. After the sale all buyers will be formally recognized and thanked.

UNDERHILL SPECS BULLS – GENETICS * ENVIRONMENT * NUTRITION At Underhill SPECS genetics, nutrition and environment are all treated equally. In 2012, when we started in Speckle Park we committed to breeding quality breeding stock rather than quantity. We started with 110 cows with the goal to get smaller and better, down to the top 45 cows. We strongly believe that if you simply follow the best cow families, it will be hard not to achieve success. We cull hard and this bull group was not exception, with a 60% cull rate. If we wouldn’t use them in our program, we won’t sell them – period.

Each summer, we send 45 cow/calf pairs to approx. 60 acres of hills and native grass pasture. We typically run 5 exclusive herd bulls to gain genetic diversity in our calf crop.

Cows, bulls and calves have to work on pasture in humid Ontario summers and on concrete in wet Ontario winters. At weaning, bulls are raised in 1 group where they can fight, mount and just be bulls.

These bulls are not fat as you can see from the scan data, but they are larger frame big testicle bulls. Bulls are fed free choice long stranded 1st cut grass hay, a 70% forage 30% corn custom formulated pellet with added mineral pac and receive additional liquid mineral in their water bowl. These bulls are being sold in breeding condition ready to go.

WE BACK EM UP – BUYER GUARANTEE All bulls are semen tested sale day and we guarantee they will breed cows/heifers to your satisfaction. Prior to the sale, we also run bulls through a hydraulic chute to inspect top and bottom hoof health. Bulls are regularly exposed to people, dogs and children and are culled for attitude. Local bull delivery at no cost to buyer or to HS Knills Trucking to head east, west or south available.

ULYSSES 25U Probably the fanciest bull in the sale with extra middle to make those big rib females. The 6C dam is one of our biggest frame cows and has made a name for herself, raising Wild Bill working at Walkers and Whiskey Bent who was Champion Bull Calf at both Paris and Rockton Ontario shows. 27H has the highest IMF and is the only Leptin TT bull in this group.
