Like all the events that the Left Hand Brewery Foundation puts on, the Hops and Handrails event raised money for nonprofit organizations, including SOS Outreach. “It says a lot that an event that’s about giving back to the community was voted best local outdoor event,” said Ashley Vander Meeden, media manager.

The event was the best of Colorado; over 60 craft beers, music and winter sports. The 6th annual event was held March 24-25 and this was the first year it was a two-day event. The second day was for families. “We had this 40-foot snowboard ramp that we turned into a sledding hill,” she said.
