FALSE CEILING

 Providing and fixing of sub-framework and fixing of CLAYTON Extruded Hollow Clay / Terracotta Ventilated Rain screen Façade Tiles (24mm±10% thick) of grid dimensions 300 x 1200mm (c/c) or as per the site requirements in a horizontal direction on the building facade. The tiles shall be installed using the ventilated rain screen principle, with provision for natural ventilation of the space between the façade tiles and the structural wall.

 The clay tiles shall be of the hollow type, fixed to a supporting aluminum framework (Alloy 6063 T5/T6) consisting of vertical 'T'/ 'L'/ Tube sections measuring 80x60x2mm/ 40x60x2mm/ 40x40x2mm respectively, spaced at maximum 1200mm c/c intervals matching to the tile vertical grid, and horizontal aluminum 'C'-clamps measuring 56 x 34mm x 150mm/ 75mm length fixed on top of the vertical sections at maximum 300mm c/c matching to the tile horizontal grid.

 The vertical 'T'/'L/Tube' sections shall be fixed to the wall using HDG Steel L-brackets (Galvanized thickness minimum 85 microns) and Hilti/ Fischer AISI 304 stainless steel anchor fasteners for MS framework/ brickwork/ concrete as applicable, spacing to be based on a structural/ static calculation. The brackets shall be fixed to the vertical aluminum T / L / Tube profiles using two AISI 304 stainless-steel selftapping screws / nut & bolts of dimensions 6 x 25mm.

 The horizontal aluminum 'C'-clamps shall be fixed on top of the vertical aluminum 'T'/'L/Tube' sections from front using two AISI 304 stainless steel self-drilling/ self-tapping screws. The tiles shall be mounted on the Cclamps with EPDM profiles in between such that the tiles are supported at top and bottom at both ends. The vertical and horizontal joints between adjacent tiles to be a 10mm open groove. The tiles and system shall be designed to resist a maximum design wind load of 2 Kpa including all factors of safety.

Material Testing, Vendor Selection

T24 : T24 is a 24mm thick tile designed specifically for ventilated façades where a greater resistance to impact and dynamic loads is required. The tiles weigh 37kgs. per square meter (approx.). This higher weight is offset by a more lightweight system .

Fixing and Installation, Specification, Material Testing, Vendor Selection

• Preparation of the drawing, calculating crush load and finalizing the thickness and dia based on that.

• Finalizing suitable fixing detail and pull out tests are done.

• Supervising fabrication, erection as per the quality protocol. Supply and fixing of Stainless steel hand railing of 1100mm height grade of 304, No.4 Brush Finish to withstand a crush load of 0.75 KN per meter run, 50 mm dia Hollow Top Rail and 50 mm dia with solid Hollow Baluster being spaced at 1.2m c/c and handrail of size 50mm Dia Hollow Hand rail with 50 mm dia stainless steel guard rail at horizontal braces being spaced as per the design, on RCC floor/beams/slabs etc including drilling holes, fixing with anchor fasteners. Intermediate Vertical members shall be 20X10mm flat bars with a maximum spacing limit of 100 mm c/c. The hand railing and other horizontal members shall be bent on the correct radius profiles, shapes as required by the Engineer In charge, using the appropriate means without losing the profile of the pipe welding, grinding, drilling, tapping, handling, hoisting, aligning, temporary connections.
