About the Project :

The Phoenix Mills Limited is set to bring its luxury shopping mall Brand Palladium to Ahmedabad through a joint enture partnership with Ahmedabad’s BSafal Group. With a gross leasable area of 0.70 million sqft in a prime location, the luxury brand mix and a superior one of its kind, customer experience is what will define the Palladium Mall.

The facade of the mall contains 15,500 panels of various sizes and minimal colours that brings life and character to the mall. Various flooring patterns, minimal color palatte, and textures for the walls create interest while wandering inside the mall. This mall is an icon of various geometric patterns, light, scale, and other architectural elements.

Memorable Appereance and Entrance

Facade is cladded with various aluminium panels of various dimensions forming interesting patterns with live screens and other interesting patterns.It sits right on the busy junction on Swami Vivekanada Marg, that connects to the SG Highway. Facade panels lit up during the evening time gives a whole new character to the place and makes it more lively. It is a five storey mall with huge sky lights, cutouts, flooring patterns, double storey etc that adds up to the character of the interiors.

Facade

Panels of different sizes plays an interesting role in shaping the facade. Terraces with extensive greenery provide a shading and a natural cooling system for the entire building, resulting in a fresher and more relaxing atmosphere.

Air Conditioning

Since all areas receive less heat due to windows not being exposed to direct sunlight, it is possible to reduce the size of air conditioners, thus requiring less energy to be used. In addition, cross ventilation provided for cooling the inside naturally.

About the Project :

The ensemble offers a total floor space of 17,000 square metres, of which 3,600 comprise commercial space, as well as ten storeys for office usage. During the day, the striking structure of the curtain façade defines the two buildings. The vertical struts and horizontal panes made of white aluminium profiles serve not only for a long-range effect but also for shade.

Memorable Appereance and Entrance situation

Light as an architectural element.

The buildings have the largest media facade in India, consisting of LED bands with a total length of approximately five kilometres, covering the 5,300 square metre glazed façade. They can be lit completely individually to display movement, colour sequences or even silhouettes of moving figures.

SITE DESIGN CONCEPT

The appearance of the textile roofed public domain is shaped by the two following composition methods:

- Along the shop cladding a continuously revolving promenade extends out, which expands in places,leaving space to linger.

Memorable Appereance and Entrance situation

- The elliptical center space is shaped through its diversity in green spaces and surfaces of water. A central breach in the ceiling („cutout“) creates a smooth transition to the parking-level.

A green, shady plaza and ample parking space make the offer complete.The architects built an ensemble with four buildings with a unique appearance. In the Indian sun the façade made of exposed concrete shimmers in variations of beige. It is structured by narrow, horizontal gaps – so, the buildings appear fi ligree despite their monolithic structure.

Design : With the Mondeal Retail Park, Blocher Blocher India Pvt. Ltd. designed an outstanding ensemble of landmark buildings in one of the most exclusive areas of Ahmedabad. Located at S. G. Highway, this exceptional shopping centre was built on three levels, housing retailers, services and restaurants. There also is ample parking space, truly a luxury in this modern era.

SHERA Board

SHERA Board is a fiber-cement building board, SHERA board has the strength, and durability of cement plus easy workability and dimensional stability. SHERA Boards come in various formats and can be used in a wide variety of building applications.

Evolution and Manufacturing:

Non-asbestos fiber-cement building board composed of Portland cement, cellulose fiber, and refined sand. Using a manufacturing process called an autoclave. Using water, sand, cement and natural cellulose fibers, combined with unique autoclave treatment during the curing process results in a very strong and durable.

Fiber Cement composite material that is extremely lightweight for its strength fiber cement composite consisting of natural fibers bonded tightly in a high-grade silicate structure.

For 4mm thickness, the height of the stack should not exceed 200 pieces. For 6mm thickness, the height of the stack should not exceed 130 pieces. Do not install and paint the sheets when they are damp or wet.

Maintenance details:

They can be cleaned using warm water and soap with a soft sponge. Cleaning products that contain acid should not be used. Check the application drainage system and water discharge outlets to ensure continuous water discharge

Ensure gaps between planks are free from mud, sand or leaves, or any other source of blockage that may hinder correct drainage. Use a wet cloth or soft brush to remove any mold that may have started growing on the surface if it has been exposed to moisture for a prolonged period.
