Neville Dickie is one of the world’s finest exponents of stride piano and boogie woogie one of a rare breed of British musicians who has made a name for himself on both sides of the pond. Jim Milbrandt directs the Lower Paxton Township Variety Band, a 30-piece jazz band featuring many of his former students, residents of Lower Paxton Township and its surrounding communities and younger musicians interested in learning from experienced musicians. The band has been performing throughout the area since 2007. Its musical repertoire includes big band, current recording artists and everything in between. Walt and Margie Cook will present a program on the three great generals of World War II, namely Douglas MacArthur, Dwight Eisenhower and George Marshall. Find out how these three at times supported each other, at times were rivals and at times protected each other during their celebrated careers. In addition to the class, attendees will receive a pre- and post-Parkinson's assessment, weekly home exercises and an exercise data log to track progress.
