Finding your passion in the business of photography 2025 keynote Speaker for CICE: Michelle Valberg

Nikon Ambassador Michelle Valberg was appointed in 2022 as a Member of the Order of Canada for her contributions in photography and philanthropy, particularly in raising awareness of Canada's North. For over 40 years, Michelle Valberg’s path in photography has been fueled by patience, resilience, innovation, and an incredible work ethic. She began her journey with a mix of projects videos, commercial work, portraits, and weddings doing whatever she could to build a career in photography As a young woman starting out in a male-dominated industry, she faced many challenges but persevered. Michelle has always stayed on top of rapid technological changes and strived to remain ahead of the curve. Her adaptability and resilience have allowed her to turn setbacks into opportunities, and mentoring new photographers, as well as supporting community and international initiatives, has become some of the most rewarding work in her career. Looking ahead, Michelle envisions further growth and innovation for her business, and she’s always eager to share her experiences with others.
