New Optimal Colour Processes course The new Optimal Colour Processes course is a new addition to the programme for 2018. This is a specialist course in the physics of colour, metamerism, the use of painting tools and IT as well as variant cards to get the colour right every time. Not only by using the variant cards but also by combining IT, variant cards and the physics of colour to compensate for variation in lighting and to make minor adjustments to the variant during mixing. In this way, the course can help the repairers to achieve greater accuracy, resulting in fewer mistakes, more satisfied customers and lower costs.

Optimal Colour Processes
Specialisation course in Colour and Colour tools
Course objective:

Obviously, one of the key details of the paintwork of cars is to identify and locate the right shade. The Colour Processes course covers chromatology and the physics of colour and how this can be used in practice for lacquering and evaluating variants. We also teach the use of PPG’s colour tools, as well as the specific information required when using the PaintManager system and the RapidMatch spectrophotometer. The course will also focus on PPG’s Prime and Variant Colour Match System.
Participants will gain a deep understanding of the physics of colour and how variations in light may affect your choice of variant. Participants will be able to use this understanding to compensate for variations in light, as well as to adjust the each variant to match individual repairs exactly, minimising the risk of errors.
