GET READY FOR THE FUTURE

More than craftsmanship

Nowadays, automotive painting is about much more than being able to provide an attractive paint job. As an automotive paint specialist, your customers are continually increasing in size and are now making greater demands in terms of delivery performance, short lead times, and low prices.

So it is not enough to focus purely on the level of craftsmanship provided by your company. If you want to be able to satisfy customers’ requirements, in addition to the high level of quality, you must also be sure that your workshop is run as efficiently as possible, keeping productivity high and costs low.

At Nexa Autocolor, we are ready to equip you for this reality. As our partner, you will gain access to our MVP concept, which gives you the necessary tools to ensure that your workshop is prepared for the new reality.

No surprises

The thinking behind Nexa Autocolor’s MVP concept is based on LEAN principles and is combined with our market-leading IT systems for process optimisation, so you always have the KPIs you need to be able to optimise your workshop together with us.

At the same time, there are no surprises at Nexa Autocolor: The MVP concept is an integral part of the way we work and comes at no extra cost. This is because we are not satisfied until we have ensured, through our mutual close partnership, that your business is ready to be among the winners of the future.

We look forward to preparing your workshop for the future.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT AT ALL LEVELS

Development – a prerequisite for success

Achieving success as an automotive paint specialist requires that you continuously develop in line with the changing market around you. Surely, you will agree that customers are increasing in size and becoming more demanding. This puts ever greater pressure on you and your company to deliver quick repair times with efficient production processes – and the quality must of course be top notch, while the prices must be low.

Two different tracks

To be able to resolve this conundrum, both management and the employees have to have high levels of expertise. This is why Nexa Autocolor is offering to upgrade the skills of managers with our MVP concept and give production employees the opportunity to benefit from the product and process-oriented courses. On the following pages you can see the courses we offer and read more about the content of each.

Three levels

In addition to the need for everyone in the company to have access to the relevant training opportunities, it is important that upskilling is not perceived as something you only need to do once in a while. At Nexa Autocolor, we would like to ensure that, as our partner, you have access to continuous training. Thus, we provide three different levels, so managers and employees always have the opportunity to perfect their skills.

In addition to the level-based training courses, there is also a range of specialised courses for employees, which can be taken as required.

Dedicated VW courses

In addition to the courses in the overview to the right, we also offer specific courses. As far as VW courses are concerned, this is the TK125 course, which we conduct in cooperation with VW. You enrol through your local VW organisation in your country.

MVP: FROM GARAGE TO BUSINESS

With MVP (Most Valuable Partner), we take our relationship with you one step further – from just providing high-quality paint products to helping you develop your business. Together, we look carefully at your workshop and identify opportunities for improvement in your day-to-day activities. The process is simple: Using a comprehensive toolbox of analytical and measuring tools, together we analyse challenges and identify the potential for improvement in your workshop.

We then draw up a series of recommendations for how you can increase productivity and thereby earnings. Of course, all this is free of charge for you as a Nexa Autocolor customer, because we know that our success depends on the success of our customers.

The needed changes may be minor adaptations and adjustments, while others might be more extensive, requiring both managers and employees to be on board. Not all tools will be used in all cases. Each analysis will be tailored to the individual workshop, so we will focus our efforts where they will have the greatest impact on you.

Below is a selection of the services we offer:

• Key figures report: With our KPI report, we can create a clear overview of where there is potential for improvement in your workshop, but also where everything is already running smoothly.

• Workshop layout: If you need to carry out a reconstruction or build something new, we have dedicated experts ready to create a 3D layout suggestion and advise you throughout the construction process.

• Management seminars: Courses in management and managing changes are part of our training offering, but we can also help to customise individual courses for your workshop.

• LEAN in the aftermarket: Using a selection of simple tools,

8

which are based on the LEAN way of thinking, we identify the main areas of potential improvement in your workshop.

• Technical Audit: As a partner of Nexa Autocolor, you can get a technical review of your workshop. You will then receive a report providing you with specific suggestions for improving the work processes, with particular focus on how to use the products and workshop equipment.

• IT solutions: We offer a storage system that saves you a lot of time when ordering products. We also have one of the most extensive colour databases, ensuring perfect colour matching every time.

• ProcessManager: ProcessManager is the industry’s leading tool for providing an overview of the production. At the same time, you automatically receive a number of KPIs, which allow you to optimise your earnings.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT – ALL YEAR ROUND

The aim of our courses is simple: To help you improve your business. Regardless of whether the aim is to improve technical or management skills, we offer courses that are tailored to your individual needs.

The courses are divided into two main courses with three stages in each – one course on workshop operation and management, and a three-stage in-depth technical course designed for experienced automotive paint technicians who are seeking technical understanding at expert level. In addition, a range of specialist technical courses are offered.

Here is a complete overview of all the courses offered in 2023. If you would like a specific course, and you have more than five participants, we also offer customised courses at other times.

NEXA MANAGEMENT COURSES

Why is management important?

Being a manager in an automotive paintshop today requires entirely different skills compared with just 5–10 years ago. The customers have become much bigger, and they will challenge you to deliver low prices and quick repair times even more so than before.

These new challenges also have an impact on the manager role. To be able to meet new requirements from customers, it is important that you have a range of tools to ensure your company is run as efficiently and cheaply as possible. This is the only way you will ensure that your workshop will make money, even with the increased level of competition.

At the same time, as manager you must be able to guide your employees safely through the changes needed to achieve the desired improvements in workshop efficiency.

The central motivation

Another central skill in the currently changing aftermarket is to ensure that you can motivate your employees, so that they always give their best. Being able to do this will ensure your workshop will be the one to retain the industry’s most expert employees – and attract more of the same type.
