white
On the surface of things, it would seem simple enough. You’ve decided that you need to freshen up a space by painting it white. But this is where it gets tricky: which white?
There are so many ways to make sure that the colour you’re choosing is going to be perfect for your space. Check out our tips to help you find the perfect white or neutral for your home.
One of the main things to consider before picking your perfect colour is the lighting in your home.
Lighting greatly a ects how your whites and neutrals will look and change throughout the day.
Artificial lighting comes in both warm and cool globes, so even changing the light bulb in your house can give you the look you are after. A warm globe will work best with warm whites and a cool globe will work best with cool whites.
Natural light will also give a di erent look to your whites and neutrals, so make sure you test your selection during the day and night over a few days before making your choice. For example, north and west facing rooms will receive a warm natural light, while south and east facing rooms will receive a cooler natural light.
