Transform wood offcuts into marble look

Bookends

Prepare

What you need:

† White Knight Squirts in Midnight Blue, Squirts Ivory, Squirts Sky Blue, Squirts Bermuda Blue (or a combination of colours you love!)

† White Knight Squirts Clear Gloss

† Drop sheet

† Gloves

† Goggles

† Scissors

† Sandpaper

† Craft/wood glue

† Large painter’s bucket

† Cardboard box to elevate the project

† Three offcuts of wood, in different sizes

All of the items listed above can be found at your local Bunnings store.

Personalise

Set up your project in a well-ventilated area. Cover surrounding areas, read the product labels before use, and wear gloves while painting.

1. Sand the wood pieces to smooth out their edges

2. Glue the pieces together to create a step shape and allow to dry

3. Elevate your bookend using a cardboard box

4. Spray with your main Squirts colour of choice and allow to dry

9. Once dry, apply two coats of Squirts Clear Gloss to protect the finish 10. Display with your favourite books!

5. Spray 3 x different Squirts colours into a large bucket of water

6. Wait approximately 30 seconds

7. Slowly dip one side of the bookend into the water, catching as much colour on the surface as you can

8. Carefully lift the bookend out of water, and use scissors to cut away any tendrils of paint
