PATRICK HERON The work of Patrick Heron, one of Britain's most intelligent post-war artists, was dominated by the

exploration of space and colour in painting. To say that

Heron was obsessive about these characteristics would not be an understatement. He was eventually dismissed from his position as art critic of the New Statesman for his continual reference to the phenomena of space in painting.

Shapes of Colour These superb screenprints are based upon works

produced between 1943 and 1978.

The edition comprises 50 copies numbered 1 to 50 with

10 artist's proofs. Printed on Velin Arches 250gsm by Chris Prater at Kelpra Studio in 1978.

All prints are signed in pencil by the artist. We have only

one copy of each print.
