This was shot down a Studland Bay in Dorset, Jade the model was very new, but worked hard and I’m happy with the results. She and her boyfriend and parents had come from north London the day before and stayed overnight.

The previous page shows images from 2 completely separate shoots, the first was done on board our yacht moored up on the Crouch river in Essex. It was shot using a Pentax 67 which was stolen from my car in 1999 (yes it is a really old shot) Vanessa was a nice girl supplied by an agency. She arived with her mother. I have to say that her mother was far more impressed by the boat than Vanessa. I’m not sure that Vanessa understood just how expensive boats are to run.

Interestingly we kept seeing the customs boat coming back and forth all day, possibly seeing a girl clinging to the rigging caught their eye.

The second shot was done partly as an advertisement for a local swimming pool. Dani is really small, but shooting up at her gives her real height. The weather that day was horrible with heavy cloud, but we made the best of it. I also used another girl, but although she worked hard, she really did not have the look and needed to tone up.

Karcia was a Polish model who lived in Brighton. A good model, but unfortunately I forgot the check on Tattoos – she has a big one on her shoulderblade which certainly restricts the angles one can shoot.

This was a group shoot where a number of photographer clubbed together to hire a location. I decided that instead of sharing a model, I would hire my own and work with her for the day. If you look back at my first issue you will she her twice, once sitting on the jetty and then in the boat. I was looking for a location for 2019 and was contacted by the owner of the venue, who, despite the length of time remembered me because of the quality of the swimwear, this surprised me greatly, but I am not going to complain.

Samantha was a strange girl, despite living in Bournemouth and going to college there, did not know Studland beach which is only a short ferry ride away across the harbour. As you can see is was a great summers day although the wind was a bit cold.

A soft image shot on a swimwear shoot on a very wet Friday in July. Another short model Charlotte made up for it by being an excellent model working hard to create images that would sell a garment.

This shot nearly caused a court case, the model thought that we would be working on a beach and was very unhappy when it tirned out to be a house with a private pool. It all got sorted out but for a few days it was very “interesting�.
