Chinyere Okorocha is a highly accomplished lawyer, corporate leader, and advocate for gender equity with over three decades of experience in the legal profession. As a Senior Partner in one of Nigeria’s most prestigious law firms, Chinyere has earned a reputation for excellence in corporate, commercial, and intellectual property law. Her expertise spans across providing strategic counsel to multinational organisations and delivering impactful solutions to complex legal challenges.
Chinyere recently concluded a two-year transformative tenure as Chairperson of the Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF). During her leadership, she championed initiatives to empower female lawyers, successfully advancing mentorship, capacity building, and leadership development across Nigeria. Her notable achievements include setting up operational structures, securing national recognition for the forum, and fostering strategic partnerships that expanded its reach to all 36 states, including Abuja.
Beyond her legal accomplishments, Chinyere is the founder of Heels & Ladders Career Mentorship Club, a career mentorship program and platform that inspires and supports women professionals in their career journeys. Through tailored coaching, strategic networking, and empowering workshops, she has mentored countless women, enabling them to rise to leadership positions and excel in their chosen field The initiative reflects her passion for guiding women in navigating corporate challenges and unlocking their full potential. She is also the author of the forthcoming book, Heels & Ladders: A Career Progression Workbook for Female Professionals, which encapsulates her dedication to professional development and empowerment.

She was recognised as one of Nigeria’s 20 Outstanding Women in Business Law (BusinessDay Newspaper in Dec 2020); and was previously nominated as one of Nigeria’s 50 most influential women in the Legal Profession (Business Day Newspaper), April 2011. Other accolades during her career include those from Who is Who Legal, Chambers Global & Managing Intellectual Property as well as her appointment as a Council Member & Treasurer - NBA Section on Business Law, and as a Patron - The Law Society, Faculty of Law, University of Lagos.
