YOUR GATEWAY TO MICROGENERATION EQUS introduces a streamlined path for members to embrace solar energy and become microgenerators through our Solar Preferred Supplier Program. This initiative features a carefully curated list of pre-qualified solar suppliers, all compliant with EQUS safety standards and committed to serving the EQUS Service Area. These suppliers offer comprehensive solar PV solutions, ensuring a hassle-free journey from assessment to energization. The program includes personalised site assessments, detailed design proposals, and competitive financing options through EQUS. Members can look forward to incentives, professional installation, and complete support including operation manuals, warranties, and final system walkthroughs, paving the way for efficient power redistribution into the grid.

YOUR STEPS TO MICROGENERATION

1 Contact a preferred solar supplier.

2 Receive a site assessment and detailed proposal.

3 Choose a financing option with EQUS (optional).

4 Supplier submits microgeneration application for approval.

5 Installation of your solar PV system by the supplier.

6 Complete necessary electrical and building inspections.

7 Final system walkthrough and system energization.

MEMBERS FINANCE SOLAR PV UNITS EQUS members have the option to request financing for solar installation costs. Subject to approved credit, members may receive $1,500 per kW installed, up to $15,000 total financing per EQUS service.

In Alberta, solar generators can boost earnings by selling carbon offset credits through EQUS and Rewatt Power’s Alberta Solar Offset Credits program, enhancing solar investment returns simply and with minimal risk.
