National Lineworker Appreciation Day Every year on July 10, utilities across North America celebrate the dedicated people who keep our communities powered: lineworkers. At EQUS, they’re more than employees - they’re our neighbours, friends, and fellow co-op members. These skilled professionals respond to outages in the toughest conditions, travel long distances, and maintain the infrastructure that keeps rural Alberta running. Powerline work is demanding and dangerous. It takes technical skill, an unwavering commitment to safety, resilience, and heart. Many of our lineworkers have served their communities for decades, some across generations. For over 75 years, EQUS has powered rural Alberta thanks to the dedication of our incredible lineworkers.
