Making Memories With Our Members As the holiday season comes to a close, our staff and Board of Directors would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to all of the members and their families who joined us for the various member events EQUS put on in 2025. EQUS’ Family Fun Days events continued to set records, with 737 of you in attendance to spend quality time with those who matter most in your lives! As a co-operative, community is at the heart of everything we do. It means the world to our team to host our members as they make memories with their families throughout the year. Our Member BBQs also saw an incredible turnout, where hundreds of members travelled to our Area Offices to enjoy a summer BBQ and experience what it’s like to ride in an EQUS bucket truck! As an EQUS member, know that you’re a part of something bigger; a co-operative family that is working to enrich the lives of rural Albertans. Thank you for being here and for advocating for your local power co-op. Stay tuned to EQUS.ca/events for future family-friendly events and opportunities to connect with your community. Budget Billing: What You Need to Know If you’re signed up for budget billing, keep watch for the ‘Year-To-Date Budget Billing’ line on your current bill that indicates whether there’s a credit remaining or an outstanding balance. For members signed up for budget billing, it’s important that you continue to monitor the ‘YTD Budget Amount’ and ‘YTD Actual Amount’ noted on your bill throughout the year. This provides you with the dollar variance between the actual and budget values billed for your power usage. If there’s any significant difference in these two amounts, please contact our Member Service team immediately to review the discrepancy. Please remember, if your usage for 2026 increases or decreases, this will affect your budget billing amount and annual settlement. Beginning on your next month’s bill, you’ll find your new budget billing amounts for 2026, calculated based on your 2025 consumption data at current rates. To learn more about budget billing and sign up, contact our Member Service team toll-free at 310.EQUS.

EQUS Team Spreads Holiday Cheer

The holidays remind us that the greatest gift we can give is care for one another. This year, the EQUS Community Connection (ECC) committee turned that belief into action, spreading hope and joy across our rural Service Area. Thanks to the generosity and commitment of our Board and staff, the ECC raised and distributed over $20,000 during the holiday season to support those who needed it most! Together, we made a meaningful impact: • •

$10,000 to local food banks across our Service Area, helping ensure that no table went empty during the holidays. $10,000 to Adopt-A-Family programs, providing gifts, essentials, and comfort to families and seniors facing challenges this winter.

These contributions are more than numbers; they represent countless moments of relief and happiness for our neighbors. From a parent’s smile knowing their children will have a special holiday, to a senior feeling cared for and remembered, these acts of kindness ripple through our communities in powerful ways.
