MILESTONES SHOUT OUTS
Tari Wirtjes always knew there was more to life beyond her day-to-day banking job. She sought out fitness as a release, taking certifications for group fitness and fitness training programs, actively teaching fitness groups since 2012. Still she wasn’t content. Tari came to the realization that she had to focus on one thing in order to pursue excellence and to discover the best version of herself. She finally took a leap of faith in 2015, jumping off the corporate ladder into fitness full-time. The following year, she came across an ad for POUND on Facebook. Coincidentally, Tari’s husband’s friend was also a friend of POUND founder Kirsten Potenza.
Tari became a POUND ICON/master trainer in 2017. Tari consistently communicates with POUND HQ to report on on current Indonesia activities with POUND and her yearly plans for the community. “POUND has become a part of my life and my identity. It has helped me develop not only into a better and more mature individual, but strengthened my leadership quality,” she reveals.

As a leader, Tari believes in less talk and more action to encourage others. “I’ve always aspired to lead this community by example since being appointed as a POUND ICON. I hope those around me can be inspired by taking the good and leaving the bad, but still celebrate their authenticity, and simply be who they are,” she reflects. “I believe, this way, they will experience a better self-discovery journey, so they will be more appreciative of the twists and turns of the process they go through to become a successful POUND Pro and participant.”
POUND is currently one of the most popular fitness programs in Indonesia, with many fitness centers offering the workout on their schedules. There are approximately 1,000 licensed instructors, of which 300 are actively teaching throughout the country.
