Special helpers warn drivers of speed limits in Boxgrove

MOTORISTS in Boxgrove are being urged to slow down on the roads.

Dummies have been set up along the main roads wearing high visible jackets, sitting in chairs to help spread the message.

Jim McDonald from Boxgrove's traffic calming group said: "This week we have deployed our special helpers to alert drivers to the speed limit along with all our signage from last years slow down week.

"We also have been cleaning up the village so plenty of folks out in high-vis jackets which also help slow drivers down. Boxgrove is looking trim and tidy and we have slowed a few drivers —result!

"The special team members are loved by the school children, a good number of people driving past think they are real and toot or wave."
