Residents want out of Arun ANGRY Pagham residents have called on the government to investigate Arun District Council. THey have said the local authority was not fit for purpose and its actions should be looked into by the secretary of state for communities and local government, Sajid Javid. David Huntley, chairman of Pagham Beach Residents’ Association, said a meeting of residents, some are pictured

above, had agreed the request. “Arun should act in our interest and appear to be accountable,” he told Mr Javid. “(But) it is not interested in what the locals think.
