Charity has worries over move VOLUNTEERS at a popular Bognor Regis charity fear they could be forced to move. THe helpers who ensure the town's Shopmobility service keeps going have seen the future of its base placed into doubt. THey are looking at having to leave the premises after almost 20 years. But the manager, Marian Court, pledged the service - which hires
mobility scooters and wheelchairs would overcome any disruption caused by the relocation. "People have got used to us being here. We are in this situation where we might have to move," she said, "and we don't know where we are going to end up at the moment. "We will just have to find new premises. THey will have to somewhere in the town which is easy for people to access."
THe doubts about the charity's location have arisen because its long-standing premises in the old fire station at the rear of Bognor Regis Town Hall could be swept away by the latest regeneration plans for the area. THe town hall's owner, Arun District Council, envisages enabling the use of the civic building in Clarence Road to be changed to a hotel and pub/restaurant as part of its ÂŁ50m revamp of the

neighbouring Regis Centre site. THe ideas are currently initial proposals but the council is continuing to work on the scheme.
