Anger about complaint delay ANGRY residents want action into their complaint about being labelled a rabble in a Bognor Regis planning row. THe Aldwick Neighbourhood Action Group members say they have been waiting too long to have their grievance investigated by Arun District Council. Deborah Martin, a founder of the group, said it had been seven months since they submitted a formal complaint about the conduct of Arun's development control

committee chairman, Cllr Jacqueline Maconachie, when the plans by Butlin's to use the former Ashley House for staff accommodation were agreed. "THis is totally unacceptable. Why have we had to wait that long? And still have no firm indication of when our case will be reviewed. "Our council clearly has very little respect for its public's views and grievances.

"THere's no way this kind of attitude and lack of action would be tolerated in the private sector." Fellow group member Ray Todd said: "We have been very disappointed by the reaction from the council. We feel that they are just trying to hide the matter under a stone.
