GRAINGER PLC INVITES CAREYS TO TEACH SITE SAFETY TO CHILDREN AT BEREWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL

Grainger plc, the UK’s largest listed residential property owner and manager and developer of Berewood, and P.J Carey (Construction) Ltd. (“Careys”) commenced work on the Berewood development in Waterlooville during June 2013. Both Grainger plc and Careys have maintained their commitment to developing a sustainable community at Berewood and continue to carry out their social responsibilities at the site. Public footpaths straddle the development and there is a temptation for local children to leave the footpaths and explore the surroundings, and this poses a challenge for the on-site teams. It was considered by all that machinery and site activity could potentially be a cause of great interest and possible danger to the children who attend local schools, including Berewood Primary School...
