after navigating the airport style security and chatting with the armed police who were keeping the area safe, we took our first steps into westminster hall where Queen elizabeth ii was laying in state before her funeral. the houses of parliament were very grand
with lots of beautiful paintings, sculptures, and wall hangings throughout. we saw the house of commons and the house of lords, the monarch’s robing area, and the central lobby - places we normally see on our televisions. after our visit we made our way back over westminster Bridge where we could see the covid memorial wall alongside the bank of the river thames. the red hearts painted by members of the public to remember their loved ones stretched as far as the eye could see. after finding lunch we made our way to the

we were lucky to receive several offers and a kind donation of a replacement ‘your postcode’ street piano for the meridian shopping centre atrium. our old Joanna - played on its last legs left, has earned its retirement to the stoke fruit farm sunflower event on hayling island where it’s players will entertain visitors. now all shiny and badged up for us by mgi of south street havant, our new piano is available for all to play helping to raise money for the charities chosen by rob fryer, manager of the meridian shopping centre.
