Moore Park Transforms Into Our Traditional Summer Marketplace With Over 150 Vendors And 5,000 VisitorsYWCA Westfield’s Annual Arts & Crafts Festival Returns in 2025. We are gearing up for our highly anticipated annual Arts & Crafts Festival, set to take place the weekend of July 25 and 26, at Moore Park. This free two-day event invites visitors to explore a diverse collection of handmade items, including original artwork, home and garden décor, clothing, accessories, and toys.
“This festival is a true celebration of creativity and community,” said Stephanie Stevens, Executive Director of YWCA Westfield. “We love seeing local artisans share their talents, and it’s always amazing to watch our park transform into a vibrant marketplace.” With over 150 vendors expected to participate, attendees can browse a wide variety of handcrafted goods and enjoy an array of food vendors offering delicious local fare. The festival is anticipated to attract around 5,000 visitors over the weekend.
“The Arts & Crafts Festival is a wonderful tradition that brings our community together while welcoming visitors to experience the charm of Westfield,” said Kathryn Bronstein, YWCA Westfield Board President and Festival Chairperson. “It highlights the creativity of regional artists and crafters, and we’re excited to showcase everything our area has to offer, including a stay at our YWCA Westfield Airbnb.” Since its inception in 1971, the festival has grown into a signature summer event. YWCA Westfield took over the planning in 1992, continuing the legacy of what has become a beloved tradition.
One of the festival’s original organizers, Linda Dunn, reflected on the event’s transition back in 1992, saying, “It was time for new leadership, and after 20 successful years, I knew the festival would continue to grow.” Now, more than 30 years later, that vision holds strong as the festival remains an essential part of Westfield’s summer season.
Plan Your Visit - Visitors can find parking throughout the Village of Westfield or at the Westfield Academy and Central School bus garage, where continuous shuttles will run to and from Moore Park. Celebrating Artistic Excellence and Family Fun! This year’s event takes place on Saturday, September 6th & Sunday, September 7th at the Warren County Fairgrounds, 371 Barton
Run Road, Pittsfield, PA. Held rain or shine, hours are 10 am to 5 pm, each day.
For the past 45 years, the Wild Wind Folk Art & Craft Festival has proudly opened its gates to a crowd of art enthusiasts, crafters, families, and friends. There is always excitement in the air - the sounds of kettle corn popping and artists greeting new and longtime customers, the sights of vibrant-colored mums and crisp fall apples, and the smells of homemade pie and apple strudel. Children tug on their parents’ hands, steering them to the petting zoo, families marvel at the magician’s humor and tricks, and friends enjoy good conversation and a tasty meal while their feet tap to live music. Woven in among the festivity, true artistic talent and creativity abound. The celebration of handcrafted artistry is the foundation of this event, and keeping tradition with its esteemed reputation, the festival brings together an array of over 150 artistic talents to present a show that is unsurpassed. In addition to its dedication to the spirit of handcrafted artistry, Wild Wind is honored to foster connections among family and friends, offering a diverse range of activities designed to appeal to all ages and interests.
For the young and young at heart, we have the returning favorite traveling petting zoo, the whimsical creations of our balloon artist, fun with hula hoops and hoop instructor, Mandy Moon, and much more to discover. We are also pleased to welcome back the Tamarack Wildlife Center, featuring their impressive live birds of prey exhibit and insightful lectures. Adding to the excitement, Double C Ranch Carriage Services and their team of horses are set to offer rides around the picturesque fairgrounds, weatherdependent.
Begin your time at the festival by gaining a view of the sights during this 20 minute meander or save it until the end as an amazingly special way to wrap up a perfect day!
Another notable highlight this year is the return of Alexander the Magician, who is sure to enchant audiences with his unique combination of humor and magic, featuring new surprises. For those eager to learn some magic themselves, lessons will be offered throughout the weekend. All ages are welcome to join!
We are also thrilled to host the remarkable talents of chainsaw carvers Lisa Barr from Barrnone Carvings & Creations and Brian Fox of Fox Sawmill and Custom Design. Their skills in crafting birds, bears, turtles, and more will be on full display, and all are encouraged to watch the action! Additionally, the festival features various demonstrations with artists showcasing skills from the delicate art of felting to the mesmerizing craft of glass blowing.
For those looking to take a moment away from the festival’s sights, a shaded picnic area is a wonderful retreat, while a creative assortment of delectable foods await hearty appetites – French artichokes, BBQ pork, gyros, crab cakes, sausage subs, hand-cut
french fries, homemade pie, ice cream, and more!
Live music is on deck to add to the ambiance, starring Old Dawg Bluegrass on Saturday with its fusion of traditional bluegrass and gospel music and Warren County’s own Temple Grey adding to the toe-tapping on Sunday with a blend of soft rock.
The Wild Wind Folk Art & Craft Festival welcomes you to join them for the weekend to embrace the wonder of award-winning artistry and family fun. The admission fees are $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, and free for children 12 and under. As a bonus, those who attend on Saturday can return on Sunday free of charge. This is a special event, one not to be missed! We look forward to seeing you there!

Canine Rescue, (NCCR), is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 shelter that helps puppies and dogs find “furever” homes. NCCR is located at 7540 N. Gale St. in Westfield, NY and is open Monday-Saturday from 1-3 pm, or by appointment. Many of the available dogs can be seen online at www. caninerescue.org. NCCR has been helping dogs for 25 years and has adopted out over 2800 dogs and puppies in just the last 10 years alone! There are ALWAYS wonderful dogs just waiting for the right person or family
to come meet them. A 4-legged friend might just be the best friend ever. From energetic ball players and running companions to slow and steady couch potatoes and everything in between, NCCR has them all! The shelter can be reached at adoptions@caninerescue. org or 716-326-7297.
NCCR always needs volunteers, foster homes, donations, and financial support. Volunteer applications, foster home applications, and a donation list can be found on their website. Foster homes are critical for certain dogs that need a home environment to decompress from their difficult pasts. Volunteers are always needed for shifts at the shelter or events in the community. Donations of money or supplies are vital to help keep the shelter running.
And who doesn’t love a good yard sale? One of the best fundraisers for the shelter is coming up in July - the 13th Annual Dog-Gone Good Yard Sale is happening July 25, 26, & 27 from 9 am-4 pm on Friday & Saturday and 9 am - 1 pm on Sunday at the shelter. Donations for the sale will be accepted July 12th - 21st daily from 1-3 pm. If you’ve been before, you know there are wonderful items to buy at fabulous prices, and each year it’s even bigger than the last! Watch the website or the Facebook page for any updates. Anything (except clothing, cribs, mattresses, electronics, computers, broken items, books or car seats) that is in good condition, clean and saleable is very much appreciated. The dogs and pups will benefit immeasurably! Look around your barn, attic, garage, and any room in your house, get rid of the furniture, jewelry, kitchen items, sporting goods, artwork, linens, knick knacks, etc. etc. etc. you never really liked or used - chances are that someone else will! And feel good knowing that it is all for a great cause! Stop by the sale and see what you need to fill in that extra space you made by kindly donating! When you drop off your donations, you can also come see the dogs that you are helping. Maybe you’ll find your next best friend! Pick up a poster for the sale and hang it in your community. Mention the shelter and the dogs and the sale to your friends; perhaps someone is looking for a new companion or has items to donate too. The dogs and volunteers greatly appreciate the community’s support!

Our mission is to encourage and support the grape and wine industries within the region, and to enhance the region’s quality of life. An award-winning, one-of-a-kind destination where comedy gets personal
Named one of TIME magazine’s “World’s Greatest Places,” honored by USA Today as one of the “Best New Attractions” in the country, and recognized by People magazine and CBS Sunday Morning, the National Comedy Center in Jamestown, NY is not your typical museum—it’s an immersive experience that delivers laughter, fun, and unforgettable moments.
At the Comedy Center, visitors don’t just walk through exhibits—they laugh, create, and connect through a comedy journey tailored to their unique sense of humor. Using groundbreaking personalization and interactive technology, the museum transforms every visit into a one-of-a-kind adventure.
It all begins with a digital “Sense of Humor Profile.” Guests select their favorite comedians, shows, movies, and comedy styles, which are stored on a wearable LaughBand. As they explore, exhibits respond with content that reflects their individual comedic tastes— serving up laughs that might include classic slapstick, dry deadpan, irreverent satire, or anything in between.
But this isn’t just about watching comedy—it’s about creating it. Visitors can design digital cartoons and memes, perform stand-up in the Comedy Karaoke Lounge, compete in a Laugh Battle, or step into iconic scenes using green screen technology. Every creation is saved and sent afterward in a personalized digital scrapbook— making every guest not just a viewer, but a part of the comedy story.
The experience is smartly designed for all ages. Kids and families
delight in physical comedy, cartoons, and hands-on fun, while adults can explore though-provoking comedy material—including uncensored content in the Blue Room, reserved for guests 18 and over. When families visit together, the system even identifies shared comedic preferences, curating experiences they can all enjoy.
These shared laughs often become shared memories. A teen unfamiliar with classic television left the Johnny Carson Immersive Experience saying, “You know what? He’s pretty funny.” A father and daughter once performed stand-up sets for each other—he picked Mitch Hedberg, she chose John Mulaney—and spent the rest of the day cracking each other up.
Visitors also gain rare insight into the art and craft of comedy. From George Carlin’s handwritten notes to Joan Rivers’ meticulous joke file to Johnny Carson’s Tonight Show monologue jokes, guests see how legendary comedians shaped their material. In the Blue Room, guests encounter the work of boundary-pushers like Richard Pryor, and Lenny Bruce, who broke barriers and redefined the limits of free expression.
Every guest receives a customized Humor Profile summary at the end of their visit—a pie chart showing what made them laugh most— along with a link to their photos, videos, and creations. It’s a souvenir
as unique as your laugh.
The National Comedy Center isn’t just about the history of comedy— it’s about how comedy connects us, across generations and backgrounds, through the simple joy of laughter.
The museum is open Thursdays through Tuesdays from 10 am to 5 pm. Plan your visit today at ComedyCenter.org.

SPA invites you to experience the healing power of nature as you relax in New York’s first authentic European salt cave. Ellicottville Salt Cave is the recreation of a healing, allergen, and pathogen free microclimate like those found in the natural salt mines in the Himalayans of Europe. Everyday our body is continually being exposed to positive ions from cell phones, microwaves, computers, television sets, even the air we breathe and water we drink. Salt contains negative ions that when absorbed through the skin and inhaled into our lungs can create a mind, body balance and help remove toxins.
Salt inhalation has been known for centuries as a healing power for those suffering from respiratory ailments such as allergies, sinus, congestion, asthma, bronchitis, colds, hay fever, exhaustion, stress, and dermatological ailments. Our environment promotes relaxation and improves one’s well-being using the purest salt on earth. Our salt cave is constructed of natural Himalayan salt, water, and wood. A water feature creates a natural salt-enriched vapor that when inhaled deeply into the lungs inflammation is decreased, airways are opened and the healing process begins. Clients relax fully dressed in comfortable gravity chairs with music in the background.
Chromotherapy (light therapy) in our salt cave and salt room offers an additional benefit to those suffering from depression and anxiety.
Respiratory Purity - As salt is inhaled, it will enter your airway linings and draw water into the airway, thinning the mucous and making it easier to breath. Both the salt cave and salt room are allergy free, making sure you’re breathing only the good stuff.
Ionic Balance - Let’s face it, we love our electronics, but we know they’re not always good for us. All of our devices and screens create
positive ions that will leave us feeling foggy, tired, and sore. Salt therapy bathes you in negative ions to balance and bring the best out of you.
Boost Your Immune System - From allergies in the spring and summer to colds in the fall and winter, we’ve got you covered with a variety of treatments to keep your immune system in tip-top shape.
Ease Joint and Muscle Pain
Feeling sore, stiff, or out of place? Stop in today to get loose, relaxed, and aligned.

Therapy by the Senses - Relax while you experience an array of therapeutic treatments targeting your senses including chromatherapy, aromatherapy, and music therapy.
Chromotherapy - Our salt cave’s ceiling lights are tuned to specific vibrations in your body. As the lights cycle, each color’s frequency and vibration targets different ailments.
Relax and Find Your Zen
Above all, we want you to leave our spa relaxed and balanced. Step into the salt cave and leave the outside world for 45 minutes. Turn those notifications off, breathe, and look inside to find your zen.
