Home Depot sets goal for batery-powered products to represent over 85% of outdoor lawn equipment sales by 2028

The Home Depot expects that by the end of fiscal year 2028, more than 85% of U.S. and Canada’s sales in outdoor power equipment, specifically push lawn mowers and handheld outdoor equipment like leaf blowers and trimmers, will run on rechargeable battery technology instead of gas reducing over 2,000,000 metric tons of greenhouse gases annually from exhaust pipes of residential lawn equipment.
The Home Depot says to reach this goal, they will offer cordless outdoor power tools from market leading brands such as Ryobi, Milwaukee, Makita, DeWalt and more. These brands are committed to building rechargeable tools that deliver the power that customers have come to expect from gas-powered equipment and the run times they need to complete a job, all with less noise, less maintenance and easier startups.

SPEEDING – SLOW DOWN, STAY COOL
• As a motorist, it’s your responsibility to know and obey the speed limit on each road you travel.
• Speed limits are in place to keep you and those around you safe. Together, we can create a safer summer for all by slowing down and staying cool on the road.

Thousands of voters in Osceola County will soon be marked “inactive” on the voter registration list if they don’t respond to the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections Office. Mary Jane Arrington’s office is reaching out to the community hoping people will update their voter statuses.

As required by Florida law, the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections is conducting voter list maintenance. The law calls for certain voters to be labeled inactive. In May, the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections Office sent notices to voters whose mail was returned as undeliverable or have had no activity. The notice requires voters to complete the form and return to the Elections Office within 30 days. Alternatively, voters can complete the online voter registration application found at www.voteosceola.gov or call us at 407-742-6000.
Any voter who received this notice and doesn’t respond, will be labeled inactive. There are roughly 36,000 voters who were sent this notice who have not responded. The total number of registered voters shown on the Osceola County Supervisor of Elections website will change when these voters are labeled inactive, in accordance with Florida law.
