Preserving the Past: St. cloud Historic District recognized by National Register of Historic places
The St. Cloud Historic District was officially recognized by the National Register of Historic Places this week, a goal St. Cloud Main Street has been focused on for a number of years. The National Register of Historic Places is part of a national program by the National Park Service to identify, evaluate, and protect America’s historic resources.
St. Cloud Main Street, led by Executive Director Paula Stark, obtained three grants which assisted in inventorying the downtown historic buildings along with the creation of the Historic Preservation Board, which assisted in obtaining its Certified Local Government designation in the summer of 2019.
