Seaworld Orlando Summer Spectacular Concert series closes out the weekend with Little River Band

SeaWorld Orlando’s Summer Spectacular Concert Series will rock the park’s Nautilus Theatre stage beginning this Saturday and Sunday featuring English Beat on Saturday and Little River Band on Sunday. All concert series shows begin at 6pm and are included with park admission, but space will be limited. To reserve a seat, or seat closer to the stage, go to SeaWorld’s website.

Top artists ranging from Pop to Classic Rock and Roll will take the stage every Saturday and Sunday through August 6.

Embrace Families hosts back-to-school drive to benefit youth in foster care

The lead nonprofit agency overseeing foster care in Osceola, Orange, and Seminole counties says it needs the community’s support now more than ever, especially when it comes to meeting the back-to-school needs of children and teens, ages 2 to 18.

For a child experiencing foster care, normalcy can look as simple as a new backpack or pair of shoes, providing a sense of belonging as they start a new school year. The campaign is designed to help offset some of the financial stresses many caregiver families experience as the kids head back to the classroom. In particular, new, unused backpacks, lunchboxes and water bottles are needed.

Osceola County Schools to hold back-to-school open houses for 2023-2024 school year

The Osceola County School District is encouraging students and parents to attend their school’s upcoming Back-To-School Open House in order to prepare for the 20232024 school year. Osceola County public schools will hold Open Houses on the following dates and times:

• Monday, August 7 – All high schools will have Open House from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (including The Osceola County School for the Arts Grades 6-12)

• Tuesday, August 8 – All middle schools and K-8 schools will have Open House from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

• Wednesday, August 9 – All elementary schools will have Open House from 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Students in Osceola County will begin classes on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Parents can find the 2023-2024 school year academic calendar at bit.ly/SDOC2324Calendar.
