Representative Kristen Arrington’s bill for Guidance Services nearing apprroval in Legislative session

With a unanimous vote, the Florida House of Representatives recently passed CS/HB 141/SB 196 sponsored by Representative Kristen Arrington (DKissimmee).

If signed by the governor, the bill will require guidance counselors to advise public middle and high school students of all educational opportunities available to them to gain skills that are in demand in the labor market, including technical and trade education programs and how to prepare to obtain post secondary degrees in those areas.
