Osceola Arts to premiere Cruel Intentions: The 90’s Musical, tickets on sale now!


The Central Florida premiere of “Cruel Intentions: The 90’s Musical” will take place for the first time on the Osceola Arts Main Stage in Kissimmee beginning Friday, June 9th and running through Sunday, June 18th.
Created by Jordan Ross, Lindsey Rosin, and Roger Kumble, this jukebox musical is based on the 1999 motion picture, Cruel Intentions.
In both the film and musical, lead characters Sebastian and Kathryn are bored with their daily elite prep school activities and have whipped up a risqué wager: Can Sebastian seduce the new headmaster’s virtuous daughter? On the path to victory, they find themselves tangled in a web of secrets and temptations. Directed by Michael Knight, this modern musical features a talented cast and is packed with nostalgic 90’s pop hits.

Osceola County Commissioner Brandon Arrington to host drive-thru summertime food distribution

With some families and individuals in our community still experiencing food insecurity, non-profit organizations and local governments are continuing to come together to organize food distribution events to assist those who are in need.
On Saturday, June 25th, from 10am – 12pm, Osceola County Board 0f County Commissioner for District 3 Brandon Arrington will host a free, drive-thru Summertime food distribution, supported by 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and State Representative for District 46 Kristen Arrington.

The event will begin at 10 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, located at 3880 Pleasant Hill Road, Kissimmee. One meal pack will be given to each vehicle, and the food distribution will be first come, first served while supplies last.

During this week, guests can receive free Gator Park admission when they make a small donation towards the Wild Florida Scholarship Fund to help Osceola County high school students pay for college.

Exotic Animal Show – During Wild Florida’s regularly scheduled Exotic Animal Show performances, they’ll focus our segments on different types of crocodilians. For instance, Wild Florida will bring out a Nile, caiman, albino and regular American alligator. In addition to an educational seminar, they’ll also have alligator calling contests and Q&A trivia.

AAA offering free “Tow to Go” backup plan for impaired drivers in Florida for Memorial Day weekend
AAA is once again activating its Tow to Go program in Florida, offering free confidential rides for would-be impaired drivers and their vehicles over the Memorial Day Holiday weekend. This is the 25th year The Auto Club Group has provided the Tow to Go program.

When called upon, The Auto Club Group dispatches a tow truck to transport the driver and vehicle to a safe location within a 10-mile radius for free. Since its inception, Tow to Go has removed more than 25,000 impaired drivers from the road.

Dunkin’ Iced Coffee day returns, benefits Orlando Health to support kids battling illness
Dunkin’ recently gave their customers an extra reason for getting their iced coffee fix during the hot days of May with the return of Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day on Tuesday, May 23. On that day, guests made their coffee run count, with Dunkin’ donating $1 from every iced coffee sold at participating Dunkin’ locations to the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation.
The Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation donated 100 percent of funds raised on Dunkin’ Iced Coffee Day towards local children’s hospitals to help expand their impact in the community. In the Central Florida community, proceeds will go to Orlando Health to support kids battling illness in the community.
