Exnora Greater Chennai and Lions Club of Central Madras, SRI RKM Sarada Vidyalaya NSS conducted a free vocational training program for students of Sri Sarada Vidyalaya Girls Higher Secondary School, T.Nagar. Mrs. Deivanayagi, Specialist in jewellery making trained the students to make various types of jewelleries. Ms.Meena, specialist in making paper bags shared her expertise with the students who are now capable of making paper bags by themselves. R.Subramani (Sri Vidya Enterprises) trained the students to make Phenol and soap oil, a basic need for every household. R. Govindaraj, Joint General Secretary, Exnora International said that today’s need is a plastic free environment and enviro-friendly paper-bag substitutes the people’s need for bags. With mounting unemployment such initiatives help people to find their own means for livelihood.
As such skills empower women to be self reliant, Exnora organises these training programmes for girl students. Dr. G.
