There are three age groups Upto 10 years - Kothai, 10 to15 years – Andal, 15 to 20 years - Natchiar. Any children of any school can participate in this competition, forms are available in the temple. Govindaraj, President, Greater Chennai Exnora said that throughout 2017 Exnora in coordination with Forest Department and Greater Chennai Corporation has decided to plant at least 12000 tree saplings within Educational institution premises, parks and residential areas in Chennai and suburbs with the help of numerous Civic Exnoras, Resident Welfare associations and general public. More than 500 students were participated in this event and took oath to contribute to the Re-Greening activity throughout the year.
