Unauthorized hoarding on street light post was removed by Chennai Corporation workers at Arcot Road, Valasaravakkam on Dec 1.

Debate for Women students Nandini Voice For The Deprived ( nandinivoice. com), a Chennai based non governmental organization is organizing a debate for women students on December 9 from 9.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. at Adyar. The topic of the debate is Why women harassment and what remedy?

All women college students and girl students studying in 11th and 12th standard can participate in the debate.

The objective of organising the debate is to provide an opportunity to women students ,who are stake holders , to express their views on the subject and suggest remedial measures.

The recommendation of the women students will be submitted to the Prime Minister and Chief Ministers for their consideration.

Five students making the best presentation would be awarded prize.

Each student will speak for seven minutes either in English or Tamil.

Last date for registration is December 5.

Velammal bagged gold medal in Throwball

The Throwball girls team (U-17) of Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus won trophy and the gold medal in the 61st Republic Day Games – 2018 at Little Flower School, Karur held recently.

The team emerged victorious with a score of 15-11, 15-8. They competed among 15 teams. The team has bagged gold medal for 3 consecutive years.
