Nikhil Magizhnan wins in Chess tourney

student of Std.8 in Velammal Main School, Mogappair campus won the first place by securing 8 points in the Tamil Nadu State U-13 Chess championship 2019 organized by Krishnagiri District Chess Association held at Adhiyamaan college of Engineering college, Hosur recently. Around 200 participants across the state took part Magizhnan, in this tournament.

Discourse on Bhagavad Gita Swami Satyaprabhananda will give a discourse on Bhagavad Gita (In Tamil) from 5.30 pm on May 19 in Vivekananda Hall, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, No.3 M.S.Salai, T.Nagar. All are welcome.

Sathish Kumar (resident of Ramapuram and also a club member of Rotary club of Korattur) 28 years old, cycled solo from Anna Nagar, Chennai (Feb 23) to Thimphu, Bhutan for 3232 kilometers to spread awareness on Polio Eradication (EndPolioNow) and World Peace. This is a Rotary club of Chennai Korattur (RCCK) project, Rotary District

Chennai 3232. RCCK organized and sponsored for this event. According to a press release, he completed his journey on a bicycle in 45 days. Throughout this journey he spoke to general public, school and college students, various rotary clubs in Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, West Bengal, and Bhutan. He told them about the importance to eradicate

polio disease from the world at the earliest and also motivated students to chase their dream in life. Sathish Kumar also met 33 rotary clubs in his travel.
