Unique Project of Green School & Green Neighbourhood
S.J.T. Surana Jain Vidyalaya in association with Exnora Greater Chennai had jointly organized a Special & Unique Project of Green School & Green Neighbourhood by Dr.S. Balaji, I.F.S., Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Tamil Nadu. Mrs. Uma N. Murthy, Principal, S.J.T. Surana Jain Vidyalaya, spoke about the Green School & Green Neighbourhood Project and stressed the need to make our environment green to sustain our lives. Dr. S. Balaji, I.F.S., Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Government of Tamil Nadu, inaugurated the Green School & Green Neighbourhood Project, which envisages making and sustaining the School campus and its surroundings green. He made the students to take pledge to make their school & their surroundings greener and maintain the same. Dr. Balaji gave away “Young Environmentalists” Certificates to the Eco Club Members for their involvement in Green Initiatives. He also gave away 100 saplings to the students to implement the Green Neighbourhood Project. R. Govindaraj, President; Fatheraj J Jain, Secretary; A. Tamilmani, Vice-President, Exnora Greater Chennai, had participated in the Project. Ms. Gladys welcomed the gathering, Ms. Yogalakshmi thanked the guests & participants.
