Service, Growth and Gratitude Communications Director, Megan Tuttle As we embark on the second quarter of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the remarkable achievements of the first quarter and provide you with a preview of what you can expect in the coming months at PCA. During the first quarter, we witnessed an incredible focus on growth across our school. Not only did our students demonstrate outstanding academic progress, as evidenced by their exceptional NWEA results, but their creativity shone through as they began preparations for the Fall Theatre Performance. Athletically, we were equally impressed, with three of our athletic teams advancing to their respective playoffs. Grandparents’ Day was also a resounding success, boasting an exceptional turnout that highlighted the strong bonds between generations within our PCA family.

In this Q2 update, we are thrilled to present a calendar of exciting events taking place at PCA during the second quarter. We extend a warm invitation for you to join us on campus for these events, which include Parent-Teacher Conferences, the eagerly anticipated Fall Theatre Performance of “Tidings of Joy,” Veterans Day celebrations, and enchanting Christmas Concerts. To ensure that you are well-informed and fully prepared for the upcoming events and activities, we encourage all parents to thoroughly review our calendar in your Parent Portal. While our weekly “All-School Peek of the Week” offers a glimpse of events in the next two weeks, our comprehensive Veracross school calendar allows you to plan for the weeks and months ahead.

As a reminder, PCA’s feedback feature is available to parents throughout the school year. Your insights are invaluable to us, and we genuinely appreciate your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions. You can use this link to provide your feedback. This link is also conveniently located at the top of your Parent Portal and at the bottom of every “All-School Peek.” We firmly believe that, by collaborating together, we can continue to enhance PCA, making it an even better place for our students and families.

As we reflect on our past successes and eagerly anticipate the exciting events in the second quarter, we want to express our deep appreciation for your commitment to PCA. We are thrilled to have you as part of our school community, and we look forward to celebrating the growth and achievements of our students in the upcoming quarter. Blessings, Megan Tuttle

Communications Director

Parent/Teacher Conferences and School Feedback We want the best for every student and family in the First Quarter, but we recognize that not every student has the strong start that we all hope for. In light of this, we strongly encourage you to schedule a Parent/Teacher Conference, or reach out to your child’s teacher or administrator. Parent-teacher conferences are essential meetings at PCA, where you, as a parent, can meet with your child’s teacher to discuss their academic progress, strengths, and areas that may need improvement. These conferences provide an intentional opportunity to build a strong partnership between your family and your child’s teacher, ensuring that we work together to support your child’s growth and success in their education. Your active participation in these conferences plays a crucial role in your child’s development, and we encourage your attendance to help us create the best learning environment for them. Parent/Teacher Conferences are one way of voicing your concerns with us, but we’ve also implemented a new parent feedback system that will allow you to voice your concerns on just about everything you experience at PCA. Every student and family’s experience at PCA differs for a variety of reasons. You and your child’s individual partnership with our school requires a personal connection. We hope you’ll take the opportunity to help you and your child thrive in the Second Quarter and the quarters to come.

Looking Ahead to Re-Enrollment During Q2, we will begin the re-enrollment process for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. At PCA, we prioritize the continuity of our close-knit community, and we are pleased to offer our current families the opportunity to secure their seats before opening enrollment to the general public. Preferred Re-enrollment will open on January 10th and will run through January 26th, ensuring that your child’s place at our school remains secure. This exclusive window is designed to show our appreciation for your commitment to our educational mission and to provide you with peace of mind, knowing that your child will continue to receive an exceptional Christian education tailored to their unique needs. We encourage you to take advantage of this Preferred Re-enrollment period and look forward to another year of learning, growth, and shared faith.

8TH GRADE EXPERIENCE DAYS NOVEMBER 8TH THROUGH THE 16TH

8th Grade Experience Days are a key opportunity for our rising freshman to get a taste of life as an Upper Schooler. Students are matched with Upper Schoolers with similiar interests and personalities so that they can see what life could have in store for them as an Upper Schooler.

VETERANS DAY NOVEMBER 10TH Veterans Day is a special occasion to honor our veterans and their families, as well as to celebrate our school’s values of patriotism, service, and leadership. We’ll also be unveiling our Honor Wall, a student project that showcases the stories and photos of PCA alumni who have served or are serving in the military.

FALL THEATRE SHOWS NOVEMBER 16TH AND 17TH The PCA Players are thrilled to present their first live production of the school year, “Tidings of Joy”, a hilarious production that will surely leave you in high spirits. This year, the PCA Players will be presenting two comedies, The Hundred Dresses and The Best Christmas Pageant Ever with students across several grade levels. Tickets can be purchased using this link, also found on our website on the Theatre page.

CHRISTMAS CONCERTS LOWER SCHOOL - DECEMBER 7TH UPPER SCHOOL - DECEMBER 12TH What better way to set our hearts in the Christmas spirit than taking in the sweet sound of little voices and the cheerful melody of strings, brass and woodwinds at our annual Christmas Concerts. See all the hard work our students and Fine Arts faculty have put into preparing our excellent musicians and artists.

WE HOPE YOU HAVE A TERRIFIC SECOND QUARTER!
