A little piece of heaven

at Moda

We’re slowly approaching the end of winter and although we are all working hard to keep the win ter weight off (or at least we tell ourselves we are) there is nev er a better time of year to devour a luscious dessert and Mo da has lead us to temptation with a sensational trans-seasonal des sert. The vanilla posset, compressed melon coconut biscuit is a delicious mix of cream, sugar, lemon juice and seeds from scraped vanilla pods...yum.

Best of all, it’s served with fruit so it has to be good for you... right? Why not try this little piece of heaven at home.

Ingredients: 900ml double cream 250g sugar Juice of 3 lemons Seeds from scraped

vanilla pods Method: • Bring cream and sugar to the boil with scraped vanilla pod for 3 minutes • Take off stove and allow to stan d until warm enough to taste • Add lemon juice and instantly the texture will thicken • Strain to jug and pour into clear glasses or moulds for effect • Allow to set in fridge for 24 – 48 hours • Serve with fresh fruit…

STELLAR SALES STIMULATE BUYER INTEREST Sales have increased by 120 per cent at Promenade Hamilton Apartments which has notched up more than double the sales for the same period last year.

Promenade at Portside Wharf has sold 20 apartments totalling almost $10.5 million over the last six months - up from eight apartments at $4.7 million up to July in 2012.

Brookfield Residential Properties Project Director Lee Butterworth says the figures indicates there is an increase in confidence in the Brisbane market and astute buyers are realising that there are limited opportunities remaining to secure a luxury apartment in Promenade.

“The recent run of sales in Promenade means it’s now 90 per cent sold so buyers need to be quick if they want to snap up one of the remaining one plus study or two bedroom apartments,” he said.

“Off the back of these outstanding sales, we gained the confidence to launch our next residential stage, Pinnacle at Portside Wharf which has posted $32 million in sales since April.

“This is a very encouraging sign for the Brisbane property market.”

With total sales of $93 million, Promenade comprises 172 luxury apartments over 16 levels featuring premium finishes such as stone benchtops, European appliances, large balconies and a car space.

It is the fourth residential building to be completed at the Portside Wharf mixed used community along the river in Hamilton.
