The Missing Element featuring The Beatbox House

The Missing Element fuses together awe-inspiring street dancers from krump, flexn and breaking communities with virtuosic music-making of the Beatbox House. All music and sound are 100% human-generated.

Highlighting the traditional and contemporary works of Penelope S. Minner, an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, Turtle Clan, this exhibition features intricate black ash baskets and cornhusk dolls that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern styles.

BEO String Quartet

The eclectic and highly polished BEO String Quartet, founded in 2015, has created a niche for itself as a daring, genredefying ensemble. The quartet’s performances of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn and Shostakovich have been compared to those of the best among 21st century international string quartets.

Experience the unique artistry of a piano, performed by Laura Peterson, and trumpet, performed by Cyril Bodnar, in a performance where both instruments will play together and separately, showcasing their distinct tones and harmonies. Robin Wall Kimmerer Visiting Writer

Robin Wall Kimmerer, an esteemed scientist, author and member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, will share her insights on the intersection of Indigenous wisdom and scientific knowledge along with her acclaimed work “Braiding Sweetgrass.”

Student Theater Production: An Originally Devised Theater Piece TBD

When we say, “to be determined,” we mean everything! This piece will be created by Pitt-Bradford students, with the subject, story, characters, time, performance and location all decided when they come together in the spring.

These workshops are a community outreach program and part of the Kaleidoscope Series that promotes the arts to area residents and engages students in PreK to 4th grade and their families in artistic learning through a variety of music, movement, literature and visual art workshops. Preregistration is required and parents and/or guardians must attend with their children.
