Dear Portledge Community, Welcome to the 2020 Virtual Portledge Benefit! It is with great pleasure that I join you all in this fantastic celebration of Portledge support, pride, and philanthropy.

As you may know, the Portledge Benefit is among one of the cornerstone fundraising events of the year. Financial support generated from this event will directly impact current and future students as we use the funds to enhance the unmatched promise that is the Portledge experience.

This year, in addition to allowing us to come together (virtually) to celebrate our school, the Portledge Benefit also provides the opportunity to honor an integral member of our community, and current member of the Board of Trustees, Dana Pagliara.

Currently serving her 10th year as a Board member, Dana's dedication to, and support of, our school is extensive and impactful, and a true testament to her commitment to the furthering of our mission. During Dana's tenure on the Board of Trustees, she was instrumental in helping to lead both the development and completion of The Portledge Commons. Dana's many successes as a Board Member, Parents Association President, and Alumni Parent have undoubtedly helped to solidify our school's position as a top tier independent school in the region.

Of course, the Portledge Benefit could not happen without the devotion, and boundless energy of our Benefit Committee including Rebecca Alesia, Marie Bahnik, Halley Bodian, Sharon Cobb, Kristin Dolan, Denise Faltischek, Amy Feldstein, Kim Guo, Missy Halpern, Jennifer Meyer, Marielle Pietronigro, Shari Staiano, Tiffany Terranova, and Michelle Wilson.

This committee worked tirelessly alongside our outstanding Development Team of Tara Askeland, Kelly Walles, Kelsey McGuggart, and Jane Zisa to ensure the planning and implementation of this event.

Ultimately, the success of this Virtual Benefit lies with you - the Portledge community. Regardless of your role within our community, your participation speaks volumes to your commitment in helping to make Portledge the best it can be. Your generosity, whether it be donating silent auction items, bidding on prizes, or participating in our journal, all move the dial in a substantial way and help us to ensure our school’s continued strength and success.

2020 AUCTION RULES & INFORMATION All items are sold “As Is�. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges are permitted. Every bidder is responsible for carefully reading all listed restrictions, conditions, specifications and/or limitations.

Please allow enough time for making arrangements with donors when dates are to be mutually agreed upon and please make and confirm all vacation reservations well in advance. As a courtesy to our donors, the Parents Association requests that vacation homes and parties be enjoyed by Portledge families only. Unless otherwise specified, all purchases must be used by April 3, 2021. No one assisting in the conduct of the auction, the Auction Site or Portledge School will be held responsible for items not removed from the premises at the close of the auction event. Items unclaimed by May 1st, 2020 will become property of Portledge School. Each bidder recognizes and agrees that the donor, anyone assisting in the conduct of the auction and/ or Portledge School, do not have any liability for any occurrence resulting from the use, or sale of, items or services auctioned, and no representations or warranties whatsoever are made with respect to any item, including, but not limited to, the quality, value or use thereof for a particular purpose.
