A BRILLIANT LIFE WITH SILVER

At Christofle, silverware is a journey through time and style.

Whether inspired by Art Deco, Baroque, or Classical influences, whether its design reflects the heritage of the French way of life or the current spirit of the times, each piece bears witness to an era, its trends, and its culture.

For the Parisian silversmith Maison, soon celebrating its 200 years, the silver-plated cutlery collections are both a cornerstone of his heritage and the embodiment of his commitment to moving with the times. In style, but also in use.

By collaborating with the greatest designers, the Christofle Studio breathes modernity and timelessness into each new collection. Heritage services such as Malmaison or Marly coexist harmoniously with more contemporary creations such as Mood, Infini Christofle, Concorde or l'Âme de Christofle - expressions as distinguished as they are unique, bearing the true hallmark of the Christofle signature.

In the splendour of celebrations as well as in the sobriety of everyday life.

Experience the extraordinary luxury of craftsmanship combining ancestral gestures with modern technique. The happy marriage of tradition and innovation that has made the reputation of the silversmith's Maison, from the table of Empress Eugénie to today's extended family of

Christofle clients, all bound by a common thread of love for good taste and heritage.

With Christofle silverware, art becomes tangible, transforming simple functionality and sensual experience.

A pledge of timelessness passed down from generation to generation.

The gentle and graphic Aria collection, created in 1985 by designer Bernard Yot, subtly blends references to the Art Deco style of the 1930s with botanical inspiration. Its motif, a bundle of reeds tied together with a ribbon at the top and bottom of the handle, is a hymn to nature, an aria ('melody' in Italian) made contemporary by the simplicity of the design.

A refined, sleek collection that will delight any table, from the simplest to the most sophisticated, whether you choose the all-silver version of the partially gilded one.

ARIA

The ultimate in bespoke luxury TALISMAN

With Talisman, the vibrant model from the Maison Christofle, you can create your own signature on the table by selecting the colours of your service to suit your taste. Elevate your dining experience with a colour palette that knows no limits other than your imagination. Playful and graphic, Talisman has been infusing colour into the Parisian silversmith's collections since 1986.

The silver-plated metal traces its shining lines, a tribute to the ornamental designs of the Belle Epoque, on the matte finish of the lacquer, creating a subtle or spectacular contrast depending on the tone selected. A manifesto collection that illustrates the excellence of the Parisian Maison through the use of a cloisonné enamel technique inspired know-how, in which reserves are carved into the metal to house the enamel of the motif.

A precious and unique model, offered on demand in an infinite range of shades.

"With Dolce&Gabbana Casa we created a unique lifestyle. You need only to behold one of our furnishings or caress a fabric to immediately perceive its foundational values: impeccable craftsmanship, love for 'fatto a mano' (handmade), respect for tradition, and the quest for innovation."

Heirlooms manufacture all of their luxury linen in-house using the finest Italianwoven fabrics and state of the art embroidery machines built to their own specification.

We sat down with Ruth Douglas, Managing Director, to find out more about the company and its passions.

“ What sets Heirlooms apart as a company?

As well as having access to one of the largest ranges of good quality Italian woven fabrics, we have an incredible team of craftspeople. It is their skills, attention to detail and passion that really is second to none, and you

In conversation with...

can feel that in all our products.

We are also a very approachable company, and have huge loyalty in how we collaborate and look after our clients.

“ What types of clients and projects does Heirlooms get to work on?

We are very fortunate to work on a diverse range of projects. Whether it's a palace complex, a superyacht, a classic sailing yacht, prestigious development like OWO and 20 Grosvenor Square to then working with ordinary clients who truly appreciate the quality of what we produce. With our wide range of fabrics we offer different levels of investment so our products are accessible to most people.

“ What are the key pieces that you always recommend clients invest in?

Spend the money on a good quality fitted sheet and pillowcases as those are the items which you lie on, which

your body has the most interaction with and therefore the most wear.

“ What are the main characteristics that set quality linens apart?

The quality of the yarn is the key to the quality of the fabric. For cotton bed linens you absolutely need to have 100% cotton and to have long staple, which is our entry level fabric, or extra long staple which are the higher level fabrics.

The longer the staple of the cotton the strong and more durable the yarn will be and therefore the better the fabric.

• 100% cotton - so no mixing of inferior fibres

• Long or extra-long staple

• Quality control of the yarns to remove impurities

• Airjet weaving provides a more durable fabric due to less stretching of the yarns, so great for entry level fabrics like our Essentials sateen

• Thread count is misleading - some high street 1000tc are of a lesser quality than our 300tc sateen

• Precision cutting - this ensures your product maintains its shape

• Sewing skills - smaller stitches take longer but this ensures the quality and durability

• Follow the care instructions - don't over dry your cotton in the tumble dryer - remember it is a fibre that needs to maintain an element of elasticity otherwise your fabric will feel brittle

“ How can people accent classic pieces to ensure their collections remain current?

We manufacture for a wide variety of nationalities all over the world, so the design really depends on the client's preferences. However, we tend to find a lot of clients use fairly muted colours and then add accent colours to the bed linens and decorate with accent cushions and throws.

“ How have you seen the world of luxury interiors evolve over the years?

There's been plenty of positive factors involved with the change in luxury interiors. A huge change is how sustainability is now at the forefront of many designers' minds. From designers changing suppliers

to ensure their sustainability practices and social responsibility is highly valued, so suppliers sourcing new and innovative materials such as mushroom and seaweed to be used for products and finishing surfaces.

Sustainability has now become a hallmark for luxury, and using natural elements emphasises a connection between the outdoors and indoors to create a sense of serenity. This promotes wellbeing and tranquillity which are much needed priorities in today's economic climate and uncertainty.

“ Where can we see you out and about this year?

We were at Dusseldorf in January, then headed to the Dubai Boat Show which was hugely successful. We work with the yacht manufacturers and interior designers within the region so it was great to further develop our collaborations there.

There will be various events and seminars for Walpole and the Royal Warrant Holders Association which Heirlooms are members of. I recently attended the RWHA AGM at St. James's to hear the amazing work the Association has undertaken over the year and that of QEST and the Charitable Fund which we as warrant holder support.

In between events, we will also be out and about visiting in the south of France as the Med season gets

underway. After the summer, Cannes kicks off the boat show season, followed by Southampton whereby we support our clients at the shows. The Monaco Yacht Show at the end of September is always a highlight, and we design a completely new capsule range each year showing our amazing creativity and manufacturing skills. This is closely followed by Decorex in October.

“ What product trends have you seen emerge recently?

Currently, the world is living and indulging in a multi trend era, but at Heirlooms we don't focus heavily on trends. For us, it is important not to get caught up with producing product to appeal to customers that are focusing on trends which will age quickly, but instead remind our customers that we create timeless and long lasting product. This is because of our responsibility to being a sustainable company, we do not take part in the fast fashion culture. It's hard to say which of our own products are trending currently as we create products that are individual to the client, and all of our clients are unique.

However, focussing on emerging trends, we particularly love the 'Coastal Grandma' trend and it emulates a quiet luxury that is a pause in time, promoting a desire to connect with nostalgia and stability.

FUNGO

The 80's verve comeback in the new collection Fungo, an archive piece with mushroom silhouette and modular design made up of 3 different sizes: water, wine, Cup.

FOLIA MINI PORTABLE LAMP

From ceremonial chandeliers to contemporary lighting, Saint-Louis has been showcasing its exceptional expertise and mastery of lighting since 1850. Following on from the success of the Folia portable lamp, Saint-Louis now introduces a mini version that brings a

new facet to its lighting range: a small cordless lamp that fits in the palm of your hand.

The folia mini portable lamp is an 'all-terrain' distillation of the house's luminous signature magnified by crystal,

which enhances the object by projecting the patterns of its cuts. The unique alchemy of the dialogue between matter and light.

SCAN FOR DETAILS

Both precious and casual, it elevates the codes of portable lighting. Always close to hand, it can be dimmed to suit the desired use and mood, from a morning glow to evening candlelight. It illuminates and accessorises side and occasional tables, console tables and bedside cabinets, alone, in pairs or in threes.

The mini portable lamp is the latest creation designed by Noé Duchafour-Lawrence for the Folia collection. It features geometric and organic shapes in homage to the forest surrounding the Saint-Louis manufacture.

The mini portable lamp has rounded ergonomic lines that make it an essential object with a gentle quality. Its verrine echoes the organic shapes of the Folia collection, which can also be found in lighting and decoration. Bevel-cut in tribute to the leaves in the Moselle forest, the Folia mini portable lamp, like the rest of the collection, is a contemporary interpretation of nature.

Like the portable lamp, the mini version projects a pattern of light that is unique to the Folia collection. Thanks to the alchemy of the dialogue between matter and light, the light expands the object and surpasses it, as if forming extensions of the crystal's cuts. This luminous motif has become emblematic of Saint-Louis.

FOLIA COFFEE

The Folia collection invites you for coffee. Will yours be a black or a lungo?

The Folia tableware collection now includes two new tumblers with their own wooden tray, designed especially for coffee. Ristrettos, espressos, double espressos and lungos can all be savoured in these new containers.

Delicate and contemporary, these new additions to the range echo the geometric, organic shapes of Noé Duchafour-Lawrence's Folia collection and work wonderfully as a gift for oneself or others.

A skilled and masterful structure that revisits the language of the chandelier through a new repertoire of shapes.

TORSADE LIGHTING COLLECTION

The Torsade collection revisits the codes of timeless chandeliers by paying tribute to the glassmaking techniques used in the Saint-Louis' hot glass workshop to forge the twisted arm of the chandelier. This is what gives the collection its name, Torsade, the French word for twist.

The modernity and poetic flexibility of the intertwining loops and U-shapes of these lights create harmonious assemblies that reflect the consistency of the molten material and the talent of the glassmakers in shaping it.

Torsade presents a new repertoire of shapes to create a new language for chandeliers. Stefania di Petrillo envisages a carefully arranged, luminous architectural structure. The loop is used alone or intertwined with U-shaped arms, with meticulous angles and proportions enhancing the regular, hand-crafted shape of the twist. This system has given rise to ten models consisting of table lamps, sconces, pendant lights and chandeliers. SCAN FOR
