EDUCATION

2023 ImpactReport

“I’ve seen firsthand how important this work is. We must educate our young people and community members about our environmental crisis in Louisiana. I’m proud to work with PC to bring science-based solutions to our communities.”

Tammy first worked with Pontchartrain Conservancy in St. Bernard Parish as a teacher in the FLOW program. This ignited a passion in her for environmental science. She is now a volunteer steward for CITE, helping us collect water samples, and works with us to further locally-focused environmental education.

A SPECIAL THANKS TO YOU

YOU have created almost 35 years of success with Pontchartrain Conservancy. Your support has helped clean up the Pontchartrain Basin, restore wetlands, improve water quality, and educate our communities. But our work is just beginning...

In 1989, we set out to stop the degradation of Lake Pontchartrain and all its basin waters. Later we recognized Louisiana’s coastal crisis and incorporated this critical work into our mission. We made a commitment, and year after year, you have been with us during highs, lows, and learning curves.

After multiple devastating disasters, we’ve learned our most valuable lesson yet: nothing can stop us. Not even levee breaks, or oil spills, or a pandemic. Our work has never stopped, and neither has your support.

.

Our success is thanks to the incredible community of supporters, volunteers, sponsors, and research partners who never left our side. We would not be here in 2024 without you. We will solve our coastal crisis with you. Here’s to the future of Louisiana.

Thank You
