ABSTRACT This paper is part of the debate on the cycle mobility and its importance as a sustainable transport, having as main objective the evaluation of the actions proposed for the Cycle Program of Região Metropolitana da Grande Vitória - RMGV, adopting the Central region of Vila Velha as the study’s focus. Guided by the concept of a cycle-inclusive city, a plan of actions for the improvement of the existing bicycle network is proposed, with the aim of favoring and encouraging the use of the bicycle as a means of transportation. For the elaboration of this product, a bibliographical reading and theoretical foundation for the definition of terms and concepts were present in the studied subject; reading of specific laws; a case study to identify aspects that can contribute to improve the theme; collection of data with bicycle paths and photographic records; preparation of diagnostic maps and synthesis of the information collected; evaluation of the actions proposed by the RMGV Cycle Program for the area addressed; and, finally, presentation of urbanistic propositions from the elaboration of action plan.
