ELEMENTARY SCHOOL GROUPS (from 2nd to 6th grades)

ANIMATED TOURS AND CREATIVE WORKSHOP Throughout the year, the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre and the Stewart Hall Art Gallery offer interactive tours of their exhibitions adapted to to school groups. Developed by a cultural mediation team specializing in visual arts, these sessions aim to demystify contemporary art and encourage observation and dialogue by exploring themes, artistic processes and techniques in a fun and interactive way. Students will have an opportunity to expand their vocabulary and venture into the interpretation and appreciation of works of art. Each guided tour is also accompanied by a creative art workshop. Through the creation of a personal or collective artwork, students will have the opportunity to get their hands dirty during a guided workshop that will allow them to discover an artistic process, a medium or a specific technique.

The animated tours and creative art workshops are free of charge. Please note that space is limited and priority will be given to Pointe-Claire schools.

Art Contest In-class art contest presentation from April 5 to 16 2027. Organized as part of the Stewart Hall Cultural Centre’s Cultural Rendez-vous, this contest offers your students the chance to take part in a fun, unifying art project. The contest is open to early childhood centres and daycares located within the City of Pointe-Claire. Further details will be announced in January 2027. The studio has always been the preferred space for artistic creation. Not only is it a versatile space but it also serves as a laboratory, a storage area and a place for celebration. The studio is the first space in which the artists seek to establish themselves, the space where their questions, apprehensions, and inspirations are channeled, expressed, and resolved. The Montréal painting Triennial Pictura pays homage to this vibrant space in a city where artists have always converged. In Studio 101, the works of artists Maude Deslauriers, Karine Fréchette, Zoe Koke, CP Simonise, Jessica Wee, and Jinny Yu relate to the various ways of seeing colour, viewing devices and visual distortions, and to the natural and artificial elements that influence our gaze. THE 2027 ART RENTAL COLLECTION From November 15 until January 10
Discover the latest submissions to the 2027 Art Rental Collection. The Stewart Hall Art Gallery offers a wide selection of artworks by more than 75 artists, chosen annually by a jury of professionals. As of mid-December, these artworks are available for rent or for purchase.

EXHIBITION DESCRIPTIONS KIDS’ CORNER Fall 2026 MINI-EXHIBITION: UNDER THE MICROSCOPE: SPIDERS, SCORPIONS AND TICKS From September 20 until January 5 With Insectambulant
Arachnids have always fascinated and intrigued! This mini exhibition, presented by Insectambulant, invites you to discover the surprising world of spiders and their close cousins.
