Petra
Ahead of their sightseeing group The mischievous twin boys Effortlessly climbed the path That flanks the building As tall as Big Ben
Carved into the bedrock of the sandstone cliff The majestic white-pink-red construction Has as stood witnessing history Weathered by two millennia
The group reached the top The mother of the boys Watched the playful scene Against a perfect blue sky
Running chasing each other Around the colossal urn That crowns the Nabatean temple Unaware of looming danger One slip or a gentle push
She jumped the gap Her outer calm did not betray Her fight against disaster She wanted them still
A photograph as an excuse She pretended to be helpless Dizzy by the height She needed hands to hold her

Immediately they came To comfort and dispel the stress With a loving clasp hand On each of her hands She rejoined the group
She felt victorious This time she had won One dreadful game against Fate Or this had not been anyone's time
