Michael Dembinski
Dear Lake Neighbors & Guests,
It is with heavy hearts that we deliver this Season Three issue as the first edition without our beloved Michael... he passed away on May 3rd surrounded by family after a valiant fight with cancer. For all who had the privilege to know Michael, you knew a man with an endlessly positive spirit and creative energy. He took his illness in stride, never allowing it to define him, and will always be an inspiration to all of us.
Michael was a Pocono Pines native and King’s College graduate, beginning his career with “muddy boots” as a construction manager, leading him to sales and marketing in the industry where he took great pride in exceptional quality for his clients. In 2015, he founded Dembinski Realty Company and later launched Pocono Pines Home Style Magazine, which evolved into this publication and expanded into renovations with Dembinski Homes. His success earned national recognition and his visionary approach defined his career.
Life’s simple joys also so inspired Mike... as Dylan’s Dad, he enjoyed coaching basketball and baseball, never missing a game, they enjoyed, golfing & seeing their favorite Philadelphia Sports teams. Michael also enjoyed attending concerts, antiquing and traveling with Andie & spending time with his mother, Claire, and family in Cape May. He also greatly enjoyed laughs at the Jub with the Martens, Jersey Jim, and Will DeMarco... who knew him as “Iron Mike”!
Michael’s enduring legacy is one of bold creativity, generosity, and the reminder to find joy in the everyday. He was the son of the late Thomas Dembinski and is survived by his devoted mother, Claire, his longtime dedicated partner, Andie, and his loving son, Dylan, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and cherished friends.

Northern Lady Fern (Athyrium angustum)
The Northern Lady Fern is an elegant, lacy fern that is easily found in the woods of New England.
Shorter than many other ferns, this sweet plant prefers shade but can tolerate more sun so long as the soil is well watered. Choose this lady for a shady spot by a pond, or in a wet area of your landscape.
Pair clumps of the Lady fern with tiarella cordifolia, Symphyotrichum lateriflorum (calico aster), and a ground cover of wild ginger for a perfect woodland garden. FACTS
Though northern lady fern is relatively large, the fronds are delicate in texture and twice divided. This species can also be remembered by the scales on its stipe, which resemble hairy legs.
