Pocono Raceway Shines With Summertime Events For All

ummer has come and gone. Another season of racing at Pocono Raceway is in the books. If you had the chance to visit us for a free track tour, a free visit to our new #POCONOMTNS Inclusive Playground, one of our major NASCAR or INDYCAR events, the Air Show or one of our many other events, we hope you had a great time. Here’s a quick recap of what you may have missed… Pocono Raceway opened the doors on the new Pocono Mountains Activities & Welcome Center in June. Located in our infield, this center included daily activities for camping guest of all ages including coloring, pony rides, teenage escape room games, morning yoga and paintand-sips. This space is available for private
parties and is located right next to our #POCONOMTNS Inclusive Playground, a playground built for kids of all abilities to learn, grow and play together.
their prescription drugs. Over 78 pounds were collected during our June NASCAR race weekend alone. A true success with all thanks going our local fans!

Speaking of thanks. Over 100 people came out to donate blood during our American Red Cross Blood Drive in July. Thanks to those donors, over 300 lives were saved and $2,000 was raised for the Disaster Relief Fund.
Another highlight to 2019 was our renewed partnership with the Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shaprio for his drug takeback inactivate. This program, designed to combat the opioid epidemic facing our state, allowed for fans to safely and anonymously discard
Fantastic weather and tons of activities brought big crowds to all of our NASCAR, INDYCAR and, for the first time ever, “The Great Pocono Raceway Air Show” event weekends. A very big thanks to all who joined us this summer.
But, in the end, the 2019 summer at ‘The Tricky Triangle’ was all about the kids! Kids, ages 12 and under, receive FREE admission to all Pocono Raceway NASCAR and INDYCAR events this year. This included Sunday’s premier races, for the first time ever. This new tradition will continue next year with our 2020 NASCAR doubleheader event weekend. We are going to host, for the first time in NASCAR history, two NASCAR Cup Series races on back-to-back days. The 2020 NASCAR Doubleheader race weekend will take place June 27 and 28, and it will include four races in two days!
