Can you give our readers, a brief history of your professional background, and what lead you to start Green Man Exterminator?

I studied at Penn State for my Department of Agriculture certification and am also certified by the Pa. Game Commission. We desperately needed a green solution for our tick problem and could not find anyone to provide the service. When we opened Green Man Exterminator to fill the void, we vowed never to use toxic chemicals. After 10 years we are proud to say we have never sprayed any chemicals – only essential oils – and have won several awards, including Angie’s List Super Service Award six years in a row.

What are some examples of the “Green” products you use when removing pests and wildlife from a property? What are the benefits to using these specific products?

Some of the green products we use are our own proprietary blends of essential oils made to target specific pests. Our products are safe for people and pets and get the job done without poisoning aquatics and delicate environments.

If a re-sale home buyer finds on their property inspection report, that there is visible damage from “wood destroying insects” what would be their next steps? How can these be prevented in the future?

The next steps for the homeowner is to call us to come in for a free home inspection. If you have a wood-destroying organism, we will take care of it in as little as two treatments. Our company does NPMA-33 inspections for home buyers and sellers. We exterminate the organisms and repair the wood that they damaged. We don’t manage any pest, we exterminate them.

Do you have an inspection fee to come out should someone find pests or wildlife inside or around their home?

No, we do not have an inspection fee if someone hears noises in their walls. If raccoons or squirrels break into your attic, we will trap the critters and safely relocate them. We find out where the wildlife is getting in. Everything is sterilized and cleaned, repairs are done. You will have the peace of mind knowing that you are 100% guaranteed and that your problem will soon be over.

Pocono Raceway is a family-owned and operated sports venue which hosts multiple NASCAR and INDYCAR events. Commonly known as ‘The Tricky Triangle,’ for being the only racetrack in the county with a unique, triangular shape, we also host other events like “The Great Pocono Raceway Air Show!”

Our next NASCAR race weekend will include names like Chase Elliott, Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch as they compete in the Gander RV 400 on Sunday, July 28. The day before is our annual Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital Kids Day with tons of kid-friendly activities. And again, kids (ages 12 and under) are FREE all race weekend long! There are tons of on-track activity throughout the July 26-28 weekend, as well as driver appearances at our Fan Stage and a FREE Carnival in Fan Fair. Our website, www.poconoraceway.com, is the best play to learn more about all of our race weekend events. Marco Andretti, James Hinchcliffe, Scott Dixon and others will test their NTT IndyCar Series skills in the ABC Supply 500 three weeks later. The Indy Car will push the limits of speeds and we also offer tons of additions activities all race weekend long. Come visit us for the INDYCAR race weekend, along with a Vintage IndyCar Celebration, August 17-18. The latest addition to Pocono Raceway’s annual calendar is “The Great Pocono Raceway Air Show.” This event features the same great shows on back-to-back days; Saturday, August 24 and Sunday, August 25. This unique Air Show will feature up to 15 acts and the planes will be at eye-level to spectators. It is unlike any other aerial show of its kind with a stadium atmosphere, family-friendly activities behind the Grandstand and lots of great venue concessions. Kids ages 6 and under are FREE and ages 7-12 are half price. Adult tickets start at only $15! If you are not around during those specific event weekends, check out the playground or schedule a tour of the track. Both the playground and tours are offered FREE of charge to all guests.
